Leave but Stay

Well this was the time we were praying and hoping for, the withdrawal from Iraq. Our young American soldiers are  coming home safe and we will soon greet them all at the airports, trains stations, town halls. etc... But some of those American Soldiers leave friends behind in the desert who lost their lives and leave around 50,000 other live and well friends in Iraq.  So is this a "Pull Out"? To me no. If there is 50,000 left there, well it’s like still having a war going on. People say they are non-combat , that means they won’t be sent in to fight, but they can still be shot at and they can still shoot back. President Obama says these troops will stay there until 2011 and then they  will  " leave". Well every nation we  “leave” ,we always have a good amount there. ( Germany, Japan, S. Korea., Saudi Arabia, just to name a few)  To top it all off the Iraqi government wants us to stay until 2020... If we stay until 2020 or even 2011 we will create another South Korea, Germany, or Japan, that is extremely dependent on the US military. Might as well add the 10 permanent US- Iraqi bases to the grand total of 300 that we have around the world. Now what people don’t know, and what President Obama did not say yet, is that he is doubling the number of private security guards to send to Iraq, ( Up to 7,000) that does not include the current 50,000. So are we really leave Iraq or are we just pulling out another political stunt? The US State Department, clearly is not leaving anytime soon. They are planning to move its objective to protect all Iraqi civilians and try their best to get rid of the terrorists. Well we are never going to leave Iraq , and Iraq will never be independent, with their own police department, fire department, cities, peaceful streets, growing economy, as we wanted.

"We have a long-term commitment to Iraq." -President Obama ( Welcome back Bush)
